Biography

Zlatina (Ina) Meier is a senior associate attorney with McKennon Law Group PC. Zlatina previously worked as a litigator assisting primarily Plaintiffs in consumer law cases, in which she recovered damages for law violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Pragmatic and business-minded, Zlatina is an advocate for her clients, excelling at both written and oral advocacy in both transactional and litigation matters. She is highly valued for her ability to put a strategy in play that considers all options for a successful outcome, including pre-dispute resolution, negotiated settlement, mediation, or taking a case to trial.

Since 2006, Zlatina has practiced in the areas of consumer law, contracts, family law, insurance and ERISA disputes and general civil litigation. She presently represents insureds, claimants, and beneficiaries in a broad range of civil litigation matters, specializing in insurance and ERISA disputes involving life, accidental death, long-term care, health, long-term disability, and short-term disability claim denials.

An experienced trial attorney in both federal and state courts, Zlatina is licensed in California, Illinois and Ohio and can adeptly navigate the nuances of multiple court jurisdictions litigation. Experienced in mediation and dispute resolution, Zlatina can offer her clients an array of practical advice and alternative solutions in settlement negotiations.
